Job: Medical Lab Scientist I

Duration – 181 days assignment months (Temp to perm ----- We are looking for temp staff to convert to permanent)

Location: Melrose MA

Schedule: part time - night - 24 hours 3 days 11PM - 7AM.

Eligibility:

U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or individuals with an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) are eligible to apply for this position

Required Skills:

• Blood bank experience required
• ASCP or AMT certification[preferred not required]
• Flu vaccine requirement- religious or medical exception is acceptable. [declination form required]
• Color vision screening and TB screening required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

Education: BS+ EXPERIENCE, BSMT, or ML
