Position: Primary Care Insurance Eligibility Specialist

Job Description: The Eligibility Specialist plays a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient insurance coverage from admission through discharge. This position involves updating patient information, handling inquiries related to insurance verification, and ensuring timely rebilling of claims when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage from admission to discharge and maintain accuracy beyond discharge.
• Update patient insurance and demographic information in our systems.
• Address and resolve inquiries related to insurance verification promptly.
• Rebill claims as required based on changes in insurance verification status.
  
  

Pay Range: $15 per hour.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, or insurance verification is advantageous.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
