We are seeking a Medical Director Informatics to join our team at a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of electronic health information systems, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care at our institution.
What You Can Expect
Lead the establishment and management of physician engagement and governance of enterprise clinical content, EMR usability, efficiency, and optimization.
Collaborate across clinical informatics, information management, medical group operations, and clinical operations to enhance evidence-based clinical content within the EMR.
Partner with Quality and other departments to drive clinical quality outcomes through improved informatics programs.
Provide medical expertise in the implementation and optimization of EMR systems and health information technology platforms.
Implement clinical decision-making systems and contribute to the development of clinical processes that support patient-centered care.
Develop and execute plans to standardize order sets and clinical decision support processes based on evidence-based standards of care.
Evaluate clinical processes across the system to identify and implement best practices.
Qualifications
Doctorate in Medicine (MD or DO) - Required
Master's Degree in Healthcare Informatics or related field - Preferred
Minimum 3 years of clinical practice as a Physician in Acute or Surgery specialty - Required
Active Experience With Epic EMR - Required
Physician License in Indiana or Illinois - Required
Travel Requirements
Board Certification (preferred but not required)
Travel: Never or Rarely
