Summary
The Coder researches and analyzes data needs for reimbursement. They work behind scenes in a variety of settings, ensuring all pertinent information is coded appropriately to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities
Analyzes medical records and identifies documentation deficiencies
Serves as resource and subject matter expert to other coding staff
Reviews and verifies documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Medical Coder Certification CPC, CCS, CPC-A or CCA
2 years of experience coding
Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of medical information
Strict attention to details
