We are seeking a dedicated Medical Billing Specialist for a fully remote position. The ideal candidate should possess solid experience in medical billing and accounts receivable, with specific expertise in retina and/or ophthalmology. You will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing payer contracts, Remittance Advices (RA), and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements. Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Third Party Payer systems, including handling appeals and denial resolution through phone follow-up and correspondence, is essential.
Requirements
Proven experience in medical billing/accounts receivable
Specialized knowledge in retina and/or ophthalmology billing
Ability to interpret payer contracts, RA, and EOB statements effectively
Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Third Party Payers
Strong communication skills for phone and written correspondence
