About The Role
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes. This is a fully remote position, with an option for hybrid in-office work for those within proximity to our office in Williamston, MI.
Key Responsibilities
Scrub and send medical claims to major carriers.
Post and reconcile insurance remittances.
Apply appropriate modifiers and adhere to carrier billing rules.
Resolve claim denials and manage outstanding accounts receivable.
Utilize problem-solving and research skills to address billing issues.
Maintain excellent organizational and communication skills.
Work independently while contributing effectively to the team.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Medical Billing.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT basic billing codes.
Experience in the optometry field is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Will Have
Proven experience with medical claims submission and processing.
Strong skills in posting and reconciling insurance payments.
