Job Responsibilities
Execute customer-specific revenue cycle workflows, adhering to federal, state, and payer-specific requirements.
Handle charges, transactions, AR, patient and payer inquiries, coding, Electronic Remittance reconciliation, rejections, denials, and appeals.
Utilize federal, state, and payer websites for revenue cycle tasks.
Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and stay updated on coding and billing requirements.
Strive to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
Collaborate across departments to meet Member/RCR Customer needs and support mission.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Members/RCR Customers to ensure positive experiences and confidence in our team.
Contribute actively to committees and workgroups, fostering best practices in NextGen PM and operational efficiency.
Mentor and support Tech I team members.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time remote position with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Limited travel (5-10 days per year) may be necessary.
Required Education And Experience
2+ years of billing experience.
Experience with clearinghouses and healthcare portals.
Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience with NextGen EPM/EDR or similar platforms.
Highly Desired Education And Experience
Experience with FQHC billing.
Additional familiarity with NextGen EPM, EDR, and/or Optical.
Preferred Education And Experience
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience in dental or behavioral health billing.
Telecommuting And Technical Requirements
This role is fully remote. Candidates must have:
Cable or Fiber Internet Service.
Download speed of 20Mbps or higher, upload speed of 5Mbps or higher.
