As a Medical Billing Specialist in the Physical Therapy field, you will play a crucial role in insurance follow-up, payment posting review, and addressing denials. Your contributions will directly impact client satisfaction and ensure the financial health of our accounts.
Responsibilities
Manage insurance follow-up and review payment postings, addressing denials promptly.
Utilize company tools and software effectively to perform job responsibilities.
Collaborate with coders to write appeals and correct claims.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries.
Submit records and review benefits for accuracy.
Perform charge entry, written appeals, and LOMNs (Letter of Medical Necessity) as needed.
Undertake additional tasks and assigned projects based on departmental needs and deadlines set by management.

Requirements
Proficient knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS coding systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google-based web applications.
Experience In Physical Therapy Claims Processing (preferred).
Ability to multitask with meticulous attention to detail.
Minimum of 1 year of medical billing experience (excluding schooling/externships).
