Key Responsibilities
Verify benefits coverage for patients by confirming insurance provider and coverage using online systems.
Generate various computer reports to gather information and ensure data accuracy.
Input verified insurance details into the computer system.
Correct any inaccurate or missing information in the system promptly.
Notify relevant stakeholders of verified and corrected information promptly.
Qualifications And Experience
Previous experience in medical billing or related terminology is required.
Experience With Multiple Payers Is Preferred.
Prior insurance verification experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite, including Excel.
Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population to obtain necessary information.
Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong follow-through skills while ensuring high productivity levels.
