We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Biller to join our team on a part-time, fully remote basis. This position is perfect for someone with strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of billing software and medical insurance policies. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to effectively assist patients throughout the billing process.
Responsibilities
Generate Revenue: Arrange payments, collect accounts, and monitor delinquent accounts.
Collect Delinquent Accounts: Set up payment plans with patients, track payments, and follow up on missed payments.
Utilize Collection Agencies: Evaluate and select collection agencies, decide when to pursue legal action, and testify in court if needed.
Maintain Medicare Bad-Debt Cost Report: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Medicare bad debts.
Secure Outstanding Balance Payments: Manage and secure payments for employee care balances.
Requirements And Skills
Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role.
Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medicare and 1st Coast billing.
A Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
