Are you a skilled Medical Biller with a passion for providing efficient and high-quality billing services? We are looking for someone with strong technology skills and a deep understanding of billing and insurance authorizations to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key player in ensuring accurate and timely medical billing for our agency.
As a Billing Specialist, you'll handle aged accounts, rejections, and submit primary and secondary claims to all insurance companies, both electronically and by paper. You'll work independently within a supportive team environment, embracing and exploring issues of bias, equity, successes, and challenges with a mindset of understanding and curiosity.
This position offers the flexibility to work primarily from home, with occasional travel to our Grand Rapids office. For those who prefer an in-office setting, office space is available.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage medical billing for the agency
Work on aged accounts and handle rejections
Submit primary and secondary claims electronically and by paper
Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient billing operations
Engage in continuous learning and exploration of equity and inclusion issues
Position Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of current and progressive medical billing experience
Ability to travel to the Grand Rapids office occasionally
Experience in the mental health and substance abuse field is strongly preferred
Prior Experience In a Nonprofit Setting Is Preferred
