The experienced Medical Assistant must have experience:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Valid BLS/CPR
2 plus years of experience working in a medical office setting
Ability to work weekends
Must have clinical skills to include vitals, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs and POC testing
Must have experience working with Electronic Medical Records
Must have excellent communication skills
Duties
Rooming patients and taking detailed patent histories
Entering patient notes into the EMR system
POC Testing
Assisting providers with patient flow
Assisting at the front desk as needed to include checking patients in and out, verifying insurance coverage and entering patient demographics
Processing patient prescriptions
Assiting with wound care and splinting
Cleaning and stocking exams rooms
Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
