Medical Assistant Mental Health Clinic

We are seeking a positive, empathetic individual with an interest in working with a psychiatric team who treats children and adults with ADHD. Experience or training as a medical assistant is not required. Training/experience in mental health, science or clinical care is helpful.

Duties include working closely with psychiatry team to manage communication with patients and pharmacies. Tasks include corresponding with patients on the phone and in our patient portal, scheduling and patient document management, initiating medication refills for providers, preparing insurance prior authorizations for medications, medical records processing, ensuring accurate lab orders are processed for providers, and collaborating with and supporting providers so they can provide optimal patient care.

Our ideal candidates must be able to provide excellent patient care, support, reflective listening, and compassion. Additionally, they must be detail oriented and have good computer skills with some knowledge of insurance. Experience in medical records management, correspondence with pharmacies, medication authorizations, and Microsoft Office 365 computer apps are highly desired.

This position can be in-office or from home. Clinic is located in University District in downtown Spokane, near Gonzaga and WSU Health Sciences Campus

Full time available on weekdays (M-Th) 7:45am -6:15pm.

Salary: $20 - $23 per hour
