Job Description
United Healthcare System is seeking a highly qualified Medical Assistant (MA) to join our dynamic team in San Diego, CA, 92179. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the health and well-being of employees within various occupational settings. If you are a skilled Medical Assistant (MA) with a passion for occupational health and safety, we invite you to apply.
Role And Responsibilities
Assist patient/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse;
Perform and document rounds of patient/youth receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and report changes in patient/youth condition to the RN;
Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;
Assist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth care;
Prepare documentation for patient/youth transfers to other Institutions/Facilities or trips to speciality appointments;
Complete all required documentation of patient/youth care, provide written or oral reports, and record entries in logbooks;
Clean, maintain, and check equipment; and
Check inventory, order and check supplies.
Licensing Requirements
To obtain your CNA license, you'll need to pass a certification test after completing a state-approved training program. Many states use the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exam, and others administer their own exams. Tests may include written, oral and clinical sections.
Education
Nursing degree from a CNA program.
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
High School graduate or equivalent.
