JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant

LOCATION: Falls Church, VA

DEPARTMENT: Operations

SALARY: $19 - $25 per hour

BENEFITS: Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, PTO, and 401k

  • Bonus Structure: Eligible to earn four different bonuses: After 90 days probationary period and completing all KPI requirements. ****

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the physician to prepare patients for examination and procedure.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
  • Interviews patients and record all gathered information in the patient's charts.
  • Administers Ultrasound during interventional procedures.
  • Ensure the patient's medical information is up to date.
  • Maintaining physician and patient medical equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with practice provider(s).
  • Support the office coordinator and physician liaison.
  • Maintain a quiet and peaceful environment that promotes healing.
  • Handle all confidential information with discretion and sensitivity and within the HIPAA Laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree.
  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 codes.
  • Experience with medical pre-authorization(s).
