Medical Advisor | Endocrinology
Position Summary
Theratechnologies’ is a company with a Global Medical Affairs organization that is truly unique. Medical Affairs focuses in three therapeutic areas with specific patient types in order to improve quality and length of life. Our teams focus on the metabolic health of the HIV population including the long‐term impact on cardiovascular and liver disease due to non‐viral and viral causes. The HIV population has higher rates of comorbid conditions arising as the population ages. Additionally, our teams focus upon heavily‐treated HIV and novel long‐acting antiretrovirals treatments with significant research activities in both areas.
Theratechnologies is a biotechnology company with pipeline opportunity in oncology via its SORT1TM gateway platform with Fast‐Track designation in the US for all solid tumors expressing sortilin‐1. The Medical Advisor, Endocrinology plays a pivotal role in upholding the scientific integrity of the evidence generation program while effectively translating scientific insights of Theratechnologies' endocrinology portfolio into actionable business strategies. This role involves fostering relationships within the medical community, advocating for disease and its treatment, and actively contributing to the publication of abstracts and manuscripts.

Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead medical initiatives while supporting different life cycle management phases.
- Offer medical and scientific expertise, providing leadership in medical affairs and supporting diverse functional areas.
- Deliver expert insights into product attributes and therapeutic areas in response to specific customer needs.
- Target evidence gaps utilizing statistical understanding and available data to address key business needs.
- Cultivate customer advocacy to bolster brand objectives, leveraging gathered insights to shape future strategies.
- Contribute to the formulation of brand and medical strategies, ensuring alignment and execution.
- Develop robust scientific rationales for medical projects.
- Actively participate in the creation of abstracts and manuscripts for publication.
- Support the development of symposia and continuous medical education endeavors.
- Assist in clinical study feasibility assessments, site identification, and participation, addressing any arising issues promptly if needed.
- Provide support to Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departments in shaping regulatory strategies aligned with product medical and commercial objectives.
- Serve as an internal scientific resource, offering guidance to commercial and medical colleague.
Qualifications Required
- Doctoral degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in a medical or scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Fluency in English(written and spoken).
- Strong oral presentation and writing skills.
- Demonstratedautonomy, initiative, and problem‐solving capabilities.
- Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in planning and organization, with demonstrated leadership qualities.
