The Media Operations & Reporting Specialist plays an integral role in supporting the day-to-day responsibilities for local digital media ad operations, with a heavy concentration on the trafficking/reporting/troubleshooting functions of our media team’s paid campaigns.

This individual has strong project management skills needed to hit key milestones and deadlines across the functional team while collaborating with planners, buyers and liaising with the analytics team. They get fulfillment from contributing to the entire team’s success in the support their role and key responsibilities provides. They are comfortable managing significant data sets at scale, always seeking to elevate, enhance, automate and streamline as they go. They are curious about AI and the ever-evolving related tech space.


Digital Ad Ops/Trafficking:

  • Experience in digital media channels such as paid search, paid social, programmatic and an understanding of media performance metrics and KPIs
  • Understanding of Google Campaign Manager (or other 3rd party ad server), including trafficking, display, and video ad creatives/tags
  • Creation and management of Floodlight tags to track the user journey and record conversions
  • Must have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Under minimal supervision by the Planning Director, assist in the day-to-day execution of trafficking digital media campaigns across multiple clients and vendors
  • Embrace trafficking, troubleshooting, and fulfillment tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Learn the assigned client's industry, company culture, products/services, and strategic communication plan
  • Ensure that all digital advertising campaigns are executed in an accurate and timely manner alongside the media planning and platform leads
  • Manage receipt, testing, and any required technical adjustment of creative in time for the campaign launch
  • Support client services/creative teams through receiving and testing creative, trafficking tags, delivery, and QA’ing alongside the Ad Operations lead
  • Pull 3rd party delivery reports and screenshots; identify and investigate 3rd party discrepancies as necessary
  • Monitor pacing to ensure campaign goals are achieved
  • Perform detailed quality assurance checks on tags prior to sending them to vendors


Reporting:

  • Knowledge of Excel, Looker Studio (formerly known as GDS)/Data Visualization, Reporting Systems (i.e. Tableau, etc.).
  • Exposure to Looker Studio Pro, Supermetrics, Power BI, etc. is a plus.
  • Familiar with platforms like Google Analytics and able to create custom data modules in reporting systems (e.g., NinjaCat, etc.).
  • Maintain customized dashboards in Google Sheets and make data connections as necessary.
  • Issue monthly, quarterly and final reports as needed, which varies by client.
  • Experience in translating performance media metrics into coherent, digestible reports for client ad campaigns.
  • Able to identify data inconsistencies and validate data for the planning and buying teams.
  • Responsible for the reporting schedules and delivery of client reports for the team SMEs.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience preferred
  • Must have prior media fulfillment experience; 2-3 years of digital ad operations experience
  • Must have some level of proficiency with various media platforms including but not limited to Google (Campaign Manager/CM360), Facebook, and other self-service platforms.
  • Time management skills and organizational skills; problem-solving abilities, multi-task oriented, excellent follow-thru skills, and very detail-oriented
  • Dependable, punctual, and exhibits a capacity to work well within a team environment
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure with assigned deadlines
  • Flexibility - adjust to changing priorities, goals, procedures, and essential duties
  • Ability to interact productively and positively with fellow employees and all levels of management
