Position Overview
As Media Director, you'll lead our media department in producing high-quality Christian television programs and supporting the video needs of our church. You'll be responsible for overseeing the quality, concept development, and budget management of various media projects to ensure we meet our ministry goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the editing team in producing television programs, promotional content, and call-to-action segments.
Oversee all aspects of technical production for church services, studio tapings, and off-site locations, including video, media, lighting, and sound.
Develop new show content and formats to engage our audience.
Implement efficient processes and systems to meet deadlines consistently.
Provide creative direction for video production, utilizing camera work, lighting, editing, music, and graphics to bring ideas to life visually.
Manage the production of special videos for church events and services.
Lead and mentor a team of volunteers and paid staff in the media department.
Write compelling copy for promotional spots and other media content.
Facilitate creative brainstorming sessions and project kick-offs.
Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, ensuring they align with our brand strategy and ministry objectives.
Collaborate with production teams and vendors to develop and present concepts to leadership.
Maintain quality control over all media projects and concepts.
Contribute creative input for various aspects of our ministry, such as studio set design, show graphics, and website redesign.
Produce testimonial vignettes and special segments for inclusion in TV shows.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (concentration in film or broadcast production preferred)
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar
3+ years of experience in TV broadcast production or equivalent video production role
Demonstrated creative and logistical aptitude in concept development, writing, art direction, scheduling, budgeting, producing, and editing
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Physical Demands And Working Conditions
Manual dexterity to operate various tools and office equipment
Normal hearing and vision capabilities
Ability to stand, sit, move, and carry equipment up to 40 pounds
Flexibility to work long hours when needed, including weekends and evenings
Willingness to travel (typically up to 10 days at a time, several times a year)
Adaptability to work in office, studio, and remote production environments
