Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
We have an immediate opening for a Media Activation Strategist in our New York, NY office. This is a full-time position responsible for planning performance marketing campaigns across a portfolio of travel industry accounts. MMGY media team members possess a strong curiosity to learn, are creative and collaborative thinkers to ensure the delivery of new media solutions, and must have a drive to deliver maximum and efficient value for our client’s media investments. Knowledge across digital, traditional, social, and B2B channels is preferred. MMGY is looking for a collaborative, team player with a strong work ethic and aptitude for learning more about data-driven marketing. The Media Activation Strategist will spend the majority of his/her time doing the following:
Strategic Thinking
Possess a strong understanding of performance media planning across all integrated media channels – digital (including programmatic, search and social), traditional (including broadcast, print and out-of-home) and B2B channels
Collaborate with Media, Social, Search and Analytics teams to synthesize client information, media objectives and campaign strategies into effective performance campaign execution ○ Incorporate client background and marketing objectives into client media plans and development of client KPIs and tracking strategy
Lead weekly, monthly and campaign wrap performance analysis and optimizations Support performance media planning strategies in tandem with the Media, Strategy and Analytics teams
Vet and pitch proactive ideas and optimizations to a client portfolio, selling and educating both internal teams and clients
Leverage media and consumer research to inform best practice planning decisions and potential return on investment
Present and oversee integrated media plan development, recommendations, evaluation, and ongoing optimizations and insights for the internal team and client
With leadership from the Media portfolio lead, identify vendor opportunities, latest innovations and potential return on investment to apply to client work and develop POVs
Support day-to-day client relationships on a portfolio of clients
Campaign Oversight & Management
Oversee junior media associates to ensure flawless campaign execution
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and improve campaign workflows ○ Oversee team day-to-day workflow to ensure campaign negotiations, launch and optimizations run smoothly, delivering superior results and running as key point person for internal and external teams
Oversee AdOps activation work thoroughly to ensure high-quality standards; troubleshoot internal technical issues during campaign execution
In coordination with media leadership, oversee media measurement plan activation and ongoing performance
Recommend campaign structure and activation strategies to ensure efficient implementation and data collection
Work closely with the Media and Analytics teams on website tagging structure and strategy and oversee tagging implementation and QA
Monitor client performance, proactively identifying opportunities as needed including development and presentation of new vendor POVs and identifying key media trends
Lead ongoing planning of client needs including plan updates, media POVs and ongoing weekly and monthly reporting insights
Experience & Skills Needed
Possess a working knowledge of all biddable platforms and experience with incrementality-focused outcomes, performance media budget management, campaign activation and performance analysis
Minimum three years of digital media experience including the following:
Media planning background across digital, traditional and B2B media with performance marketing clients
Experience using media tech and media research tools
Working knowledge of media planning tools including media research
Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and thrive within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
High levels of proactivity and attention to detail; ability to self-motivate, deal well with ambiguity and manage time with flexibility; excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate internally and externally
Thoughtful data-driven decision-maker
Salary Range for this position: 70-80k
