Mechanical Engineering Technician

Position Overview: Mantel is an application-driven, purpose-built technology company. The products and research we pursue typically require a diverse team of both domain experts and generalist practitioners with the ability to join domains and crystalize a vision. Mantel seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician to work with the Deployable Thermal Systems Team, aiding in the research and development of mechanical and vehicle systems. This position will focus on the fabrication and assembly of prototype systems integrated into motor vehicles.

Due to the nature of Mantel’s business, US Citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Create prototypes and perform usability tests to collect feedback and refine designs through iteration.
• Rough fabrication of metal components
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to seamlessly integrate user requirements into the product development process.
• Assembly, disassembly, and customization of motor vehicle components
• Diagnose issues and assess prototype systems
  
  

What We Are Looking For In You

• Brings a practical approach and a proactive problem-solving mindset
• 5 - 20 years of experience in automotive, machining, fabrication or similar
• Knowledge of automotive workings, maintenance, and repair
• Excels in both collaborative and independent working environments
