Mechanical Engineering Co-op

The decentralized R&D organization benefits both production and marketing and allows Hamilton to stay close to the local markets and respond quickly to market needs.

As the engineering Intern you will be supporting the Research and Development department in a variety of product development and sustaining activities. This work will be done under the supervision and review of senior engineers. This work includes BOM generation, model and drawing updates, mechanical assembly and other duties as assigned.

Other resposibilities include

• Development of new mechanical designs to improve Hamilton Storage products.
• Product improvement or cost down initiatives.
• ECR/ECO documentation and design completion.
• Team Design Reviews and Collaboration Meetings.
• Basic Electrical and/or Mechanical skill set.
• Must possess verbal and written communication skills as required.
• Must be able to take direction.
• Must possess manual dexterity to facilitate working with small parts.
• Must possess neat and clean work habits, ability to plan and organize work and work space, and must work in a positive, cooperative and supportive way.
• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program from a regionally accredited, not-for-profit College or University.
