Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

RemX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions! This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role.

$85k-$90k BOE with excellent benefits! Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance!!

Duties:

• Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.
• 2D quality control drawings for manufacturing.
• Component specification and selection.
• Enter assemblies and references into document control system (SmarTeam).
• Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis for part sourcing.
• Assembly of prototypes based on the designs created.
• Gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting.
• Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.

Requirements:

• Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings, standard operating procedures and Bills of Materials.
• Proficiency with Draftsight, AutoCad, and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of SmarTeam and QAD a plus.
• Must possess a basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2 – 3 years of Mechanical Engineering Experience.
• Engineering experience in the automation field.
