Southwestern Energy is searching for a Measurement Technician to join our Field Operations located in Tunkhannock, PA.

The Measurement Technician Will Be Responsible For

  • Responsible for the installation and/or inspection of gas sales/allocation meters and the calibration of those meters within the division
  • Works closely with measurement/field personnel to communicate the status of operations within the assigned areas
  • Responsible for the analytical sampling, measurement and telemetry equipment
  • Responsible for the monthly gathering system balancing review and any variance troubleshooting of the assigned field location
  • Assists with Installation of equipment at new facilities as needed
  • Responsible for troubleshooting electronic problems and assisting production personnel to maintain facility operation
  • Operates various types of gas testing equipment

The Measurement Technician will report to the Measurement Foreman.

Your Background Includes

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical/Trade degree is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • One to five years’ experience in the following fields: mechanical related; Technical related; gas measurement or field operations
  • Should have experience with general instrumentation; however, basic knowledge of SCADA systems is preferred
  • Must possess good computer skills to include Microsoft (Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Must be capable of working outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Should be familiar with Emerson ROC, & Flow Automation, chromatography, and components of natural gas
  • Must be able to perform all job duties under minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

This position involves outdoor work and may be subject to extreme weather conditions, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach and use fingers to handle or feel, climb ladders and stairways, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to read a computer screen.
