Position Summary: Crowheart Energy is seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Measurement Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement equipment and devices in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Perform calibration and verification of gas measurement equipment to ensure accurate and reliable readings
Installation, configuration, and communication of various flow meters
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with gas measurement equipment and systems
Obtain gas, liquid, and water samples
Record documentation with accuracy and timeliness
Witness third-party calibrations work
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety procedures, and company policies
Maintain company vehicle, hand tools, and equipment
Restocking and maintaining vehicle inventory
Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills:
Ability to think critically to solve problems
Understanding of oil and gas production from wellhead to end-user preferred
Knowledge of or familiarity with AGA/GPA Gas Measurement Guidelines, and BLM regulatory requirements preferred
Knowledge of gas measurement equipment or techniques preferred·
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
On occasion will require travel and overnight stay(s)
Minimum of 1 year or experience in gas measurement technology preferred
Possesses thorough knowledge of the safe operations and usage of hand tools required to maintain natural gas components
Ability to work in dynamic and busy work environment and maintain a high level of detail
Strong computer skills
Ability to work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Working Conditions
This job operates in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Regularly stoops, squats, kneels and crouches for durations up to 5 minutes. Climb stairs. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant. Frequently may lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.
