MAU is hiring a Materials Process Engineer for our client in Greenville, SC. As a Materials Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing the materials flow process within the company. You will be responsible for developing and implementing LEAN principles, ensuring system health, training personnel, and managing material handling equipment. This is a contract, long-term assignment.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 1 – 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or materials management environment


General Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of LEAN principles and methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and training skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Essential Functions:

  • Analyze current material flow processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Design and implement LEAN solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve cycle time
  • Develop and document standardized work procedures for material handling
  • Continuously monitor the effectiveness of LEAN processes
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to standardized work procedures
  • Identify and address any deviations or non-conformances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver training programs for warehouse personnel on LEAN principles and standardized work procedures
  • Coach and mentor warehouse staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to execute their roles effectively
  • Manage the inventory of material movement totes, bins, and carts
  • Oversee the repair and replacement of damaged material handling equipment
  • Perform other tasks as required
