Job Description Summary

A candidate will work in a lean, fast-paced, and exciting work environment. They will have the support and inspiration for starting a great career and achieving exceptional performance to help AAM reach its goals. Selected candidate will perform the following.

  • Assist in scheduling, planning, and oversight of material procurement, production, and delivery.
  • Helps coordinate flow of materials within the manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinates transfer of materials to and from inventory or warehouse.
  • Schedules and controls the release of materials.
  • Monitors material inventory in the plant, in the warehouse, and by critical suppliers.

Job Description

  • Use reports to monitor adherence to schedules
  • Works with a team to support the coordination and communication of daily production build requirements to satisfy customer demand and maintain inventory targets
  • Review and maintain supplier forecasts on a weekly basis
  • Proactively elevate critical supply issues to management
  • Proactively elevate critical delivery issues to management
  • Use the supplier scorecard to initiate internal operational improvements
  • Coordinate and adjust inventory targets and variances
  • Responsible to follow safe practices

Required Skills And Education

  • Self-motivated, resourceful and detail oriented
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Plex experience a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with global teams
  • Effective professional written and oral communication skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • Working toward a college degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Prefer Sophomore or Junior year applicants, with the desire to have the coop work with the team for at least 2 years
  • Requires a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average.
  • Allowed to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
