Summary

Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures while providing leadership to the Supply planning and scheduling, inventory management and shipment teams across both Walton Hills and Wayside sites. The position will lead Material Resource Planning (MRP) and warehousing, work with procurement and be responsible for leading the supply portion of the S&OP process for both Sites. It reports to the Plant Manager and takes guidance from the Corporate Supply Chain Director

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure/ assist in compliance of its teams to safety, environmental, training, transportation and all other regulations that the company must abide by.
  • Serve as liaison between Operations, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting and New Product development to resolve supply chain challenges
  • Participate in all S&OP plant related processes including supply planning and working capital data analysis and forecasting.
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, shipping, receiving, warehouse management and inventory control for Walton Hills and Wayside Sites.
  • Lead the planning and scheduling of raw materials, intermediates and finish goods to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
  • Implement SAP planning and MRP planning and scheduling parameters to automate supply Chain planning processes.
  • Report key Customer Satisfaction metrics to measure and drive improvement at both Sites to meet or exceed Valtris KPI’s. Recommend best practices to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of order fulfilment processes at both Sites (OTIF’s).
  • Effectively improve transactional accuracy of inventory including bill of materials corrections, production posting and other sources of inventory error.
  • Design, implement and manage inventory cycle count process. Utilizes deviation analyses to drive inventory accuracy.
  • Effectively lead shipping and warehouse teams to ensure proper material identification, correct SAP locations and physical layout to best utilize warehouse space and material flow.
  • Design, implement and manage processes to minimize aged inventory
  • Collaborate with corporate purchasing and quality to ensure supplier performance issues are addressed and corrected. Also coordinates with these functions the qualification of new and alternate suppliers
  • Perform statistical analysis on historical demand for FG, raw materials and intermediates.
  • Train, develop, mentor and evaluate performance of subordinates.
  • Acts as the key interface for tolling agreements
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in area of specialty or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in chemical manufacturing industry preferred.
  • 2-4 years managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of order entry, demand planning and inventory management
  • Experience in human resource principles and practice; along with, overseeing quality control and raw materials programs.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); and, SAP.
  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.


ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

This position shall maintain compliance with Federal, State & Local OSHA (Occupational Health & Safety Administration) Regulations, EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), OH, NJ and TX Regulatory Agencies, DOT (Department of Transportation regulations) at all times. The employee in this position shall maintain compliance with all Valtris Safety Standards as well as EHS rules/requirements of the sites at all times.
