Overview

The Material Handling Team Member is responsible for material handling within the manufacturing facility. Receiving, storage, kitting, sequencing, shipping and delivery of material to meet production requirements.

Resia Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Resia that will be leasing a plant to produce Pods for use in the multi-family communities.

As part of our team, you’ll collaborate vertically from design & development to the plant floor to design systems that will build POD’s and ship them to the construction site.

Responsibilities

  • Flow of materials and containers in support of production.
  • Unloading of materials from delivery vehicles and the return of dunnage and empty containers.
  • Provide input and support for material replenishment methods.
  • The movement and processing of non-conforming and scrap material.
  • The care and proper use of material handling equipment.
  • Communicating with Team Leader/Group Leader to resolve material inventory problems.
  • Understand and utilize standardized work.
  • Material flows in a manner that supports a FIFO strategy.
  • The cycle counting of inventory.
  • Wrapping, care and shipping of finished good.
  • Unwrapping, repacking and disposal of various waste materials.
  • Cleaning of work area and supporting workplace organization activities.
  • Support resolving problems through a team-oriented approach.
  • Cross training across different roles in material handling as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous Forklift experience required.
  • Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education experience.
  • Computer skills with user level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and material handling equipment operating instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished written or oral.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to withstand exposure to solvents, fumes, heat, and odors normally associated with an auto assembly plant.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
