Job Overview

As the School Counseling Program Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of counselors. Reporting directly to the Dean of Counseling, you will oversee all facets of our Master of Arts in School Counseling program, ensuring its alignment with our mission and vision. This includes curriculum development, clinical practicum management, faculty recruitment and development, student assessment, and maintaining accreditation standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a dedicated individual with:

A terminal degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a regionally accredited institution.

LPC (or state-based equivalent) license.

Demonstrated teaching and clinical counseling experience, including a minimum of two years in various counseling settings.

Proficiency in ethical standards of practice and the ability to effectively impart the same.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse audiences.

Competence in utilizing various computer applications, including MS Office Suite and educational software.

An understanding of adult learning and distance learning theory.

A servant-hearted attitude and commitment to fostering a supportive community.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to our mission of Christ-centered higher education by preparing graduates to embody ethical clinical mental health services and reflect Christ's character.

Oversee curriculum development and delivery, ensuring excellence in both in-seat and online formats.

Conduct or oversee training sessions related to enrollment, marketing, and student services.

Manage day-to-day operations under the guidance of the Dean of Counseling.

Provide supervision and support to the Clinical Coordinator.

Participate in faculty recruitment and contribute to faculty development initiatives.

Lead student learning and program assessment efforts, including the development and execution of assessment plans.

Serve on committees and address student and faculty concerns proactively.
