Summary Of Position

Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints. May assist in the assessment of a range of motion and muscle strength, or propose client therapy plans.

Duties

• Talk with clients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results
• Evaluate clients to locate painful or tense areas of the body
• Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body
• Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture
• Document client’s condition and progress Safeguard client information and confidentiality.
• Executes professional boundaries and does not engage in dual relationships with clients.
  
  

Requirements

• Outstanding communication and listening skills
• Team player
• Have enthusiasm and possess superb customer service skills
• Take pleasure in working with people and have an outgoing personality
• Must adhere to local and state licensing laws and regulations
• Valid and current state license
• Ability to recommend specific therapy sessions according to the needs of the client
• Be responsible forpersonal lotions, oils, and individual/liability insurance
  
  

Experience

Minimum one-year experience in the required field
