Overview

Reporting to the Director of Events, the Marketing Specialist role will be twofold: primarily supporting internal and external event campaigns by playing a crucial role in helping the team plan, launch, and execute events efficiently and effectively and secondarily assisting with administrative projects across the broader Marketing team. The ideal candidate is process oriented, well organized, pays strong attention to detail and understands the many moving parts involved in planning small and large-scale programs and working across multiple projects. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of a team.

By working collaboratively across the marketing team and other key areas such as Go-To-Market, this role will be responsible for some logistical aspects of events, helping to ensure delivery within the defined timeline and budget. Supporting the administrative and operational pieces within event marketing, including but not limited to: vendor onboarding, purchasing, swag inventory management, event registration, and compilation of event metrics, on-site/in-person event support, timely delivery of materials, managing exhibit install and dismantle, booth staffing, and supporting any scheduled special events or activities. Across the broader team, additional projects related to 3P maintenance and tracking; reconciling marketing vendor spend, purchases, and budget; assisting with annual proof point and marketing assets projects; managing the Marketing SharePoint and Intranet. Through all these responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the success of the team and Cotiviti.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the 3P process for marketing vendors to ensure timely submissions for vendor onboarding, processing related purchase orders and invoices.
  • Supporting the annual maintenance of marketing assets and proof points.
  • Managing the marketing intranet (external to others in Cotiviti), and the marketing SharePoint site (internal only to marketing).
  • Reconciling marketing spend against program budget, P-card purchase reporting.
  • Supporting the research and logistics for all planned programs, including sales-driven events, executive summits, client conferences, etc.
  • Creating event documentation including but not limited to internal prep meetings, briefings, and training.
  • Completing post-event reports for industry conferences, capturing campaign tactics and outcomes and compiling internal survey responses.
  • Coordinating logistics for the events program, including but not limited to, attendee registrations, calendar invites, shipping and tracking exhibit materials; completing exhibitor orders.
  • Facilitating swag orders, inbound/outbound requests, and overall inventory.
  • Provide onsite support at strategic evens an industry conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in corporate events; healthcare or technology sectors a plus.
  • CMP certification or similar a plus.
  • Cvent experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to pivot and problem solve.
  • Self-sufficient and resourceful, but a strong collaborator.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (especially PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $81,000 to $99,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
