Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a global nature travel company based in Boulder County, Colorado, is seeking an experienced Marketing Production Manager to take ownership of several important programs that promote Nat Hab’s worldwide travel experiences and advance our mission of conservation through exploration. This person will join a high-performing marketing team to meaningfully contribute to this inspiring company’s continued growth and success. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is exceptionally detail-oriented and possesses a diverse professional skillset, including remarkable capabilities with communication, planning, organization, reporting, and project management.   


RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct Mail Program Ownership 

  • Oversee the execution of Nat Hab’s direct mail program, including printed travel catalogs, destination- and trip-specific brochures and letter packs, and other print marketing and direct mailing campaigns.
  • Manage the year-round fulfillment of direct mail pieces in response to prospective travelers’ requests and signals of interest, including regularly monitoring proper fulfillment workflows and quantitates.
  • Facilitate the secure transfer of internally and externally sourced mailing lists between the company and its partners, including providing clear instructions for data processing and post-mailing return files. 
  • Track key performance indicators and maintain regular reports to facilitate direct mail campaign analyses. 

 

Production Project Management  

  • Lead the ongoing creation of guest-facing materials, including digital and print advertisements; branded clothing and gear; promotional content for travel agents; field signage; e-books; reports; and more.
  • Organize all logistical aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production processes. 
  • Craft clear, concise production briefs for each project to guide collective creative efforts and ensure accuracy, quality and consistency across all finished products.
  • Collaborate with various teams of internal and external contributors—such as designers, writers, contract creatives, production vendors, and key stakeholders—to complete projects on schedule. 
  • Monitor progress and continuously make strategic adjustments to meet multiple overlapping project objectives and deadlines throughout each year.
  • Supervise accounting for all project costs, including expense forecasting; collecting and comparing quotes; coordinating payment of all postage and invoices; and tracking ongoing expenses.
  • Document existing production project management processes and continually enhance those by developing innovative systems for project planning, workflows, automation, execution, etc.
  • Contribute to numerous other marketing and special projects as opportunities arise, such as coordinating the production logistics of professional photo/video shoots in nature destinations around the world. 


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 4 years of related professional experience, ideally in a full-time marketing project management role.
  • Experience with managing direct mail, print marketing, and/or direct-to-consumer mailing lists is preferred, but not required.
  • Capable of simultaneously managing multiple large and small projects while constantly adapting to evolving priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Able to work effectively with different stakeholders (including technical and non-technical collaborators). 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and steadfast dedication to timeliness, consistency and quality control. 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills along with a demonstrated passion for problem-solving. 
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively with high levels of integrity, maturity and enthusiasm. 
  • Ability to effectively collect and analyze data to gauge the success of ongoing and completed projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with copyediting and writing experience preferred.
  • Adept at following directions and utilizing constructive feedback to continually grow and improve as a professional.
  • A degree in marketing, communications, advertising, web design/development, graphic design, photography, project management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

 

COMPENSATION

Compensation commensurate with experience.


Starting Salary Range: $65,000- $75,000 plus annual bonus.

TRAVEL

It is preferred that this will be a Colorado-based position, and if the candidate resides within a one-hour drive of Nat Hab’s Louisville headquarters, then they will be required to be in the office an average of one day per week minimum. Should we determine to hire a remote candidate, then Nat Hab will require (and pay for) this employee’s travel to/from Boulder County, Colorado, at least three times a year for in-person meetings, company-wide events, & job-specific tasks.

 

Attendance at both of our annual companywide events, held in spring (late April) and in winter (early December) is mandatory for all employees. During these gatherings, employees are expected to work fully in the office and participate in the planned events.
