Key purpose statement
We’re seeking a “hands on” marketeer who is capable and willing to handle all aspects of ATL and BTL marketing within a high energy and growing organization. This person will play a critical role in shaping Asahi USA as a significant player in the premium imported US beer category. This role will lead the development and execution of the Asahi Beer USA marketing strategy across the full US market. The focus will be driving significant awareness and growth of the Asahi Super Dry Brand and 0.0% offering, as well as supporting developing a strategy to broaden the portfolio over time. The National Marketing Manager will collaborate across multiple internal and external touch points, including but not limited to the following: AEI and EMEAA Brand teams, 3rd party agencies, Asahi USA sales team, and distributor and retail partners in the USA.
In the USA, Asahi imports, markets and sells the Asahi Super Dry beer brand as well as the spirits brand Twisted Shotz. Very excitingly, EMEAA has recently purchased a fantastic new production facility in Wisconsin USA, Octopi Beverages. This marks a key step forward in accelerating our growth journey and realizing our ambitions for our Global Brands, most notably Asahi Super Dry for North America.

USA Team Impact
Champion the consumer / brand perspective for the Beer category among the USA Leadership and Sales teams
Collaborate with USA sales team to ensure ongoing portfolio engagement and identify opportunities to achieve business goals and/or close gaps
Routinely provide portfolio performance updates to leadership and stakeholders, and proactively recommend changes in direction as required
Internalize and demonstrate Asahi Leadership Behaviours
Brand and trade marketing management
Leverage global brand strategies and assets as well as local insights and market dynamics to build best-in-class brand and trade marketing execution strategies and plans
Leverage best practices from Asahi International and other markets in pursuit of brand building and plan delivery objectives
Support brand activation by developing and sourcing the appropriate marketing tools and assets, and ensuring the sales teams have the right, on time assets for brilliant execution in market
Manage the brand marketing budget to deliver against financial targets, accounting principles, process guidelines and productivity goals
Planning and execution
Lead USA beer marketing strategies and activations through a deep understanding of our USA consumers and by leveraging and adapting Global assets
Coordinate the development of the annual Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) and establish prioritized sources of growth
Guide the sales team on the identification of opportunities and strategies to grow the base business and to support brand expansion and growth ambitions of Asahi USA
Stakeholder Management
Develop and maintain positive and constructive mutually beneficial business relationships with all key stakeholders
Share and execute best practices and expand throughout the region
Partner with EMEAA marketing leadership and broader marketing community to shape and pressure test strategies and execution plans
5+ years of experience within and across brand marketing, trade marketing and digital/social marketing
Knowledge of the beverage / beer market
Demonstrated ability in creating and executing brand Communication plans
Brand development, trade marketing and brand launch experience
Ability and proven experience in bringing creative and practical ideas to market in an executable way
Strong commercial acumen supported by effective financial management and project management skills
