Are you a grammar, syntax, and diction nerd? Are you a sucker for taking every possible measure, big and small, to ensure that ideas and information are expressed clearly, succinctly, and effectively? Do you strongly believe in the importance of the Oxford comma—or at least have an open enough mind to accept its value?


TransPerfect’s Marketing & Communications team is looking for a full-time editor/proofreader to provide quality control and continuously improve our full universe of English-language materials, including proposals, blog posts, website copy, press releases, presentations, and more.


Your duties will include checking content consistency, tone, style, formatting, and branding. Attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and strong communication skills are a must, as well as curiosity and aptitude to develop an in-depth understanding of an expansive range of topics. In addition, you may be asked to draft social media posts and/or other short-form content as needed.


The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in an editing/proofreading role, preferably in a corporate marketing, PR, or communications environment. More importantly than this, though, is a dogged and obsessive commitment to quality control and accuracy.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with preference for marketing, communications, English, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • 2-5 years previous experience in a communications, editing, or proofreading role, preferably in a corporate marketing, PR or communications environment
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)
  • Strong organizational and task management skills
