Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Reports to: SVP, Marketing and Communications

Location: Los Angeles – Hybrid

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $67,000 – 73,000 per year

SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator supports Ovation’s marketing efforts across all platforms and brands within the company as well as those of its affiliates, including but not limited to premier execution of Stand For The Arts (SFTA) partnerships with Ovation distributors and 501c3 arts organizations, Ovation sponsored activities, promotions, other distributor marketing partnerships, working with Ovation’s marketing and affiliate services providers on cross-company promotional elements, and administrative duties. This role requires a highly energetic and collaborative individual who is comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues at all levels. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate event planning for SFTA partnerships with distributors and 501c3 organizations.
  • Participate in and eventually lead video conference logistics planning meetings with clients and 501c3s.
  • Event asset creative development (award letters, banners, step and repeats, invitations, ROS, speech copy, premiums, etc.).
  • Secure payment information from partner organizations.
  • Project manage the annual Ford’s Theatre sponsorship & client hospitality weekend, from pre-planning to onsite logistics and seamless activation.
  • Coordinate regional/local affiliate partnerships and co-sponsorships.
  • Draft creative briefs for internal graphic design and video PSA production.
  • Liaise with external graphic design vendors.
  • Responsible for working with the SVP on development and management of additional marketing initiatives including brand marketing, promotions, synergy initiatives, other experiential events and projects that support Ovation’s key business priorities.
  • Support, lead and execute general distributor partnerships (i.e. Verizon UP program).
  • Serve as Ovation brand representative as directed by SVP, Marketing and Communications.
  • Work with media agency and directly with distributors to execute paid media buys.
  • Work with a graphic designer to create post-campaign presentations and overviews as assigned to showcase tactics and results for partnerships and events.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, source and collect premiums/merchandise ideas and pricing on items that best represent Ovation.
  • Oversee vendor invoice submissions.
  • Responsible for monthly marketing direct expense tracking (accurate forecasting).
  • Ovationtv.com partner portal copywriting as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities as reasonably requested by SVP, Marketing and Communications, Ovation.
  • This role may involve some travel, typically requiring 3-4 trips per year.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 - 4 years marketing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Milanote, project management software is a plus
  • Proficient in social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.

  • Oral & Written Communications: Exceptional, written, and oral communication skills. Communicates well one on one, in small groups and larger presentations, including external public speaking. Writes clear, precise, well-organized documents using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and wording
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize, organize and manage a variety of detailed tasks simultaneously. Ability to manage budgets and oversee expenditures
  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment.
  • Innovation: Develops innovative approaches and ideas and meets challenges with resourcefulness
  • Customer Focus: Monitors client satisfaction (internal or external). Establishes partner relationship with clients. Visible and accessible to clients.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team; experience working with cross functional teams

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.

This is a hybrid job role, with a combination of telecommuting workdays and in-office workdays.
