Position Summary

We're excited to expand our marketing team! We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Marketing Content Specialist to join us. In this role, you will create and implement bilingual marketing communications campaigns and content for all our departments and channels. Your passion for advancing organic agriculture and your integrity should be complemented by your experience in marketing content creation, project management skills, social media expertise, and ability to collaborate effectively.

This is a full-time, remote position based in the United States, reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Support Marketing Efforts: Promote our services and the organic movement through marketing, branding, and community initiatives.

Content Creation and Editing: Develop and refine content for our digital and print channels.

Collaborative Projects: Work with various departments to create content that meets their goals.

Specific Duties

Project Management: Develop and manage small- to mid-level content projects, ensuring they are executed with excellence and on time.

Content Development: Research, write, edit, and proofread content for publications, press releases, blogs, website content, promotional emails, flyers, brochures, and more.

Creative Marketing: Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Marketing and the Marketing Communications Manager on creative marketing concepts, including campaign ideas, themes, tone, and key copy lines.

Consultative Support: Provide marketing expertise and creative ideas to support solutions.

Recurring Publications: Manage content for recurring publications, such as newspapers and annual reports, by developing themes, writing, editing, and proofreading articles, and contracting feature writers.

Email Marketing: Support the production of e-newsletters and standalone emails, including copywriting and coordinating submissions.

Social Media Management: Stay informed on social media trends and best practices to compose effective messaging that drives action.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Marketing Communications Manager.

Required Qualifications

Writing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role.

Bilingual Abilities: Proficiency in English and Spanish to produce error-free, professional content.

Project Management: At least 2 years of experience in planning, managing, and executing small- to mid-level marketing and communications projects.

Social Media Fluency: Familiarity with the current social media landscape.

Organizational Skills: Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, capable of producing high-quality work within deadlines.

Collaborative Approach: Ability to work within multiple collaborative environments, adapt to diverse workgroups, and communicate ideas respectfully.

Desired Qualifications

Agricultural/Food Retail Experience: Knowledge or background in the agricultural or food retail sectors.

Ethical Storytelling: Training in ethical storytelling techniques.

Social Media Experience: At least 2 years of professional social media content management.

DEI Knowledge: Familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles and a willingness to engage in discussions about identity and experience at work.

Remote Work Experience: Experience working remotely with both in-office and remote teams.

Publication Experience: At least 1 year of experience creating copy for recurring publications.

Physical and Travel Requirements

Travel: Ability to travel domestically (about 7 days a year).

Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer competitive pay and benefits, including excellent health plans, a 401(k) program, and generous sick/personal and vacation time. The starting salary range for this role is $64,000 - $68,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
