About the Role:

We're looking for a Marketing Compliance Manager on its Product and Marketing Compliance team to provide compliance advice on new product and marketing initiatives. The Product and Marketing Compliance team partners collaboratively with Product, Marketing, Legal and other stakeholders across Upgrade’s range of credit, deposit and point of sale financing products to define compliance requirements and identify required controls pre-launch and provide ongoing compliance support post-launch.

What You’ll Do:


  • Partners with Product, Marketing, Legal and other stakeholders to provide strategic compliance advice on new products, features and marketing
  • Review and approve customer-facing advertising and marketing materials in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and policies
  • Coordinate with bank partner stakeholders and develop compliant solutions meeting multiple stakeholder requirements
  • Develop controls and provide guidance with respect to regulatory requirements for scaling compliant marketing functions
  • Track marketing claims and maintain associated disclosures and substantiation


What We Look For:


  • 5+ years of marketing compliance experience, preferably in the financial services/fintech industry
  • Expertise in key consumer financial services regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z, Regulation DD, UDAAP and Regulation P
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively shift communication styles based on audience
  • Solid project management, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • A proactive team player with a sense of humor and self-awareness
