We are hiring for a marketing & community affairs assistant to help support our commitment to building a stronger, safer Texas. In this role, you will provide administrative support to the marketing & community affairs department to help ensure our positive image and leadership in the workers’ compensation system through administration and planning of events and meetings, working with community partners, supporting marketing operations, and providing basic design support.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented with strong technical skills to help our teams deliver an excellent customer reputation. Providing exceptional service, being customer-focused, and proactive in your approach are key skills in this role. Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role, you can expect to:
- Compile program data into various formats (e.g., reports, presentations, etc.) for review by executive management.
- Provide administrative support for billing, purchase orders, and contracting.
- Participate in on-site events by coordinating event logistics and other activities as necessary.
- Communicate details of community events with event attendees.
- Schedule, plan, and host activities, such as meetings, events, and travel arrangements.
- Administer print requests and other marketing vendor contacts.
- Edit and finalize PowerPoint presentations developed for external audiences.
- Respond to requests from other departments and partners on graphic/logo requests.
- Perform other routine administrative duties for the marketing & community affairs department.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have administrative experience supporting corporate philanthropy, event planning, and/or volunteer programs or equivalent education, training, or experience.
- Intermediate candidates will have 2-4 years’ experience and senior candidates will have 4-6 years’ experience.
- Are organized and detail-oriented to ensure the successful execution of events.
- Have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a background using Microsoft PowerPoint and other office tools.
- Possess strong technical ability with aptitude to navigate and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Are customer service orientated and strong at relationship building.
- Have a basic understanding and interest in graphic design.
