Summary

Our Bakelite Marketing Communications Manager will design and execute external communications plans to support the company’s marketing and branding efforts and ensure alignment of communication strategies with overall brand goals and corporate messaging.

Additionally, this leader will be responsible for maintaining our brand’s online presence, generating interest in our products by customers, highlighting career opportunities for prospective associates and creating brand awareness with our communities through our website, social media marketing and various marketing campaigns. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for end-to-end strategy, planning and delivery of professional tradeshow, conference and event strategy and implementation. As the team events expert, this role provides cross-team counsel, delivers recommendations on tradeshows and events that align to the organizational priorities, plans and executes on those events and provides post-event analysis to organizational leadership.

Essential Functions

General External Marketing & Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to create marketing materials and collateral that support the sales process.
  • Support leaders by developing thought leadership content including but not limited to keynote presentations, speechwriting, and byline articles.
  • Create and oversee the development of engaging content for press releases, articles, whitepapers, and other external communications channels.
  • Support customer and organizational events to drive brand awareness and foster strong customer relationships.


Digital Marketing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies – both global and regional – to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
  • Oversee web migration projects, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal user experience.
  • Update and maintain the company website with relevant and engaging content.
  • Optimize website to increase ranking within search engine results page (SERP) and encourage more site traffic.
  • Use web analytics tools to monitor site performance.
  • Develop, execute and optimize marketing campaigns, including email and social media marketing by maintaining strong marketing calendar.
  • Partner with Commercial Team to gain potential leads and converting them into customers.
  • Develop external marketing collateral to help build brand awareness of Bakelite for prospective customers, associates, community partners and more.
  • Measure and report the return on investments (ROIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Brainstorm new campaign ideas and growth strategies.
  • Identify and test new digital channels and tools.
  • Research and implement new marketing tactics and the latest trends.


Tradeshow Marketing

  • Lead the development of global and regional marketing plans for large tradeshows, including pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of tradeshow initiatives.
  • Ensure that content effectively communicates key messages and aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Manage event budgets to meet event objectives within financial scope.
  • Lead the development of Customer Event project plans, including coordinating the venue and logistics, collaborating with the Commercial team messaging to invitees and event agendas. Evaluate and report on the success of tradeshow and customer event strategies, incorporating feedback for continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on website management, content creation, and social media marketing.
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing strategies for large tradeshows.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in project management and budget management.
