BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are looking for an energetic and creative Business Development Manager to develop, execute, and manage strategies that deliver new market engagement and sales growth. As Marketing & Business Development Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Operations teams to grow revenue through a combination of new products, new markets and new clients/partners. The ideal candidate is a “Hunter” with a passion for building, for generating new opportunities, and converting them to relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to develop new key accounts.
  • Spearhead efforts to drive marketing and branding initiatives targeting B2B and B2C clients.
  • Plan and execute demand generation marketing activities.
  • Develop and deliver pitch presentations to prospective key strategic partners (B2B/B2C).
  • Grow brand and customer demand through various platforms including social media.
  • Conduct market research to report on competitive analysis and new marketable products.
  • Optimize resource deployment through SEO research and analytics.
  • Create ROI user scenarios and B/E analysis to develop recommendations supported by data.
  • Develop new business through strategic marketing performance and sales partnerships.
  • Formulate plans to enhance brand value and sales under constantly changing conditions.
  • Provide feedback and expert insight to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of products, including features and benefits.
  • Problem solve and generate practical and sensible solutions with prospective customers.
  • Be an active team player in order to achieve wider company objectives.
  • Maintain positive attitude and open line of communication with co-workers and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • 5+ years of successful marketing or sales experience.
  • B2B and B2C sales/marketing experience, with emphasis on acquiring new customers.
  • Strong business acumen with a consultative solution-based sales methodology.
  • Work well individually or as a team, while multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion and influence.
  • Ability to generate/analyze reports, present ideas/analysis effectively, and make strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of material handling industry is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with the following is a plus but not required: Mailchimp, Hootsuite, social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, ERP/CRM


systems (Oracle Netsuite), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

COMPENSATION: Salary ($65-85K DOQ) + Benefits (inc. 401K match + corporate profit sharing)
