Seneca Holdings has an immediate opening for a qualified Manager of Marketing & Communications. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing & Communications, the Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of the organization’s marketing and communications activities across multiple platforms. They are expected to manage the company’s brand and digital presence and implement effective internal communications programs that drive employee engagement. They will deliver dynamic written and visual communications for a variety of internal audiences and channels that support Seneca Holdings’ mission, values, strategy, and culture. In addition, they will contribute to various corporatewide initiatives, as needed.

Responsibilities

Works closely with Marketing & Communications team members and key stakeholders throughout the organization to develop, implement, manage, and measure marketing and communications strategies and initiatives.

  • Works closely with the Sr. Director to plan and execute annual marketing and internal communications strategic plans, including establishing metrics to measure program and content impact and fostering employee engagement, alignment, and connection.
  • Creates, revises, and implements communications material that delivers key messages to target audiences through appropriate channels, ensuring consistency with branding, messaging, and communications strategies.
  • Manages, plans, crafts, and publishes compelling content across multiple platforms, including Seneca Holdings’ intranet, newsletters, internal email campaigns, websites, and social media. Collaborates with Marketing & Communications team members to develop content.
  • Manages content calendar and establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure content impact.
  • Works with members of the Marketing & Communications team to develop content, such as marketing slicks, flyers, and presentations.
  • Refines communications deliverables for accuracy, tone, and clarity and provides cross-team reviews.
  • Manages websites and social media channels, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Builds and implements social media strategy for Seneca Holdings, business lines, and affiliated companies.
  • Manages internal and external events. Develops content and manages swag for events.
  • Manages brand compliance, usage policies, and best practices for Seneca Holdings, business lines, and affiliated companies.
  • Manages Marketing & Communications team members and conducts annual performance reviews.
  • Builds strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including team members, executives, and partners.
  • Manages third-party relationships.
  • Supports Seneca Holdings’ Core Values and culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience developing and overseeing multi-faceted internal communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Minimum of 2 years with direct report responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Federal contracting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presence, and tact with proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities, and experience levels.
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication, and presentation skills and proven expertise as a creative writer, copy editor, and storyteller.
  • Ability to cultivate, manage, and leverage relationships, including with senior leadership and cross-functional project stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with MS Office 365, marketing automation software (e.g., Loomly, HubSpot), and internal communications software (e.g., Contact Monkey), preferred.
  • Experience managing, aggregating, and reporting performance metrics.
  • Understanding of SEO, website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), ROI, and content optimization.
  • Familiarity with web design and website administration.
  • Ability to travel as required, estimated up to two times per quarter.
