Sales Market Researcher/Analyst – Pharma and HCP Communications


Overview:


We are seeking an associate level, market researcher to join our team, specializing in the brand development of pharma drugs. Your focus will be on understanding the preferences, needs, and challenges faced by healthcare providers including doctors, physician assistants, and nurses across a range of specialties. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary market research to inform the marketing strategies of our pharma and biotech clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent research skills, remarkable writing abilities, and a passion for collecting, analyzing, and presenting findings to external stakeholders to drive informed sales decision-making.


This role reports to our Executive Director of Product Strategy and supports our sales function across all business verticals.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Market Analysis: Both pre- and post-sales support and analysis. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the HCP and pharmaceutical industry. Utilize a variety of research methods to gather insights on market dynamics and competitor activities.
  2. HCP Insights: Gain a deep understanding of the needs, preferences, and behaviors of pharmaceutical companies, and other industries within the HCP space. Conduct primary research to gather insights directly from HCPs and key opinion leaders to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  3. Strategic Recommendations: Synthesize research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior management and our clients. Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, using data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate complex information effectively.
  4. Client Facing Presentations: Possess a passion for presenting and communicating with clients on all levels, and the ability to do so with limited guidance.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer support, to integrate market research findings into product roadmaps, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
  6. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of and “geek out” on emerging trends, clinical trial data, and drug approvals in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare technology space. Share insights and knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or business analysis, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare technology industry.
  • Hands-on, tactical approach to creating and administering surveys (bonus if familiar with Qualtrics!), data collection, creating clinical-challenges, reporting, slide deck creation, patient case-studies, and data analysis.
  • Adept and proficient at presenting across mediums and client-facing communications.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis techniques, survey writing, and market research tools and software.
  • Effective communication and presentation capabilities (must love writing and presenting), with the skill to convey nuanced and complex information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and innovation, with a passion for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
