My client is a medical device contract manufacturer that produces a variety of product lines. They are a large, growing company with 25 locations worldwide.

Job Description

The Manufacturing Team Lead will be responsible for:

  • Adheres to and develops Quality and Regulatory requirements, encompassing internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Plans, develops, and executes validation processes and test methods (including IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ)
  • Implements Lean manufacturing techniques to enhance cycle times and process efficiencies. Identifies, supports, or oversees improvement initiatives aimed at waste reduction across all manufacturing and business processes.
  • Utilizes structured problem-solving techniques and statistical methods for data-driven analysis and decision-making.
  • Leads and applies DMAIC-Six Sigma methodologies to address issues and minimize variation in manufacturing and business processes.
  • Plans, executes, and oversees project activities involving cross-functional teams, encompassing new product development, manufacturing transfers, continuous improvement, and cost reduction endeavors.
  • Supports and engages in the cultural shift towards lean manufacturing, contributing to waste elimination in manufacturing processes.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement activities to enhance process efficiency and value-added ratios.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Manufacturing Team Lead will:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 5-7 years of professional experience (including at least 1 year within the medical device industry).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Lean manufacturing and experience in supporting new product development or launch initiatives are highly preferred..
