The company is seeking an energetic, confident and detail-oriented person to join our team as a Manufacturing Project Manager. The Project Manager will ensure the facilities are engaged early in the planning processes to increase production of current products and accept new product launches.
This position is an on-site role based in Kansas. Primary work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some day travel within the state of Kansas may be required. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Systematically drive actions and accountability to required tasks and deliverables to the predetermined program timeline.
Drive / coordinate the schedule for preproduction builds, power builds, prepare the plant for successful first time Run at Rate.
Ensure that all resources are in place to support the projects.
Document open issues, actions, owners and dates. Drive open issues to closure to accommodate rate launch.
Identify open issues, actions, owners and dates to review with leadership.
Coordinate with Procurement to ensure that purchased parts are properly defined and will be delivered as required.
Participate in the Plant Manager Staff meetings and share risks, needs and achievements.
Assures plant has all support needed from internal organization to launch plant/product successfully. Must eliminate any "roadblocks" which may hinder plant achieving goals.
Provide Plant Manager feedback on new staffing decisions and performance of plant staff personnel as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
Minimum 5 Years of Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Functional discipline or operational leadership experience in a plant
Must have solid problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with fabrication, welding, paint, and assembly helpful
