Manufacturing Project Engineer

  • Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.
  • We have recently moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as the undisputed leaders in our industry.

  • As a result of our expansion, we are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an entry level position for someone looking to experience many areas within a manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities: (what you will be doing)

  • Provide direct support to Operations and Facilities projects as required.
  • Shared time between Engineering, Facilities and Operations department projects.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and on-time delivery.
  • Lead and participate in numerous concurrent projects across the organization.
  • Support of day-to-day production and technical issues related to the production of engineered to order (ETO) products.
  • Creation of standard operating procedures (SOP) capturing current production processes while implementing safety, ergonomic, and production rate improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: (what it takes to be successful)

  • Ability to become intimately familiar with manufacturing processes.
  • Interested in working primarily in a fast paced, production environment. Able to work on multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Work equally well alone or in a cross functional team with other Engineers, Safety, Quality Control, Purchasing, etc.
  • Interested in projects across all areas of manufacturing and its environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field of study is preferred.

Reports to Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
