Our global client, an automotive glass manufacturer, is hiring a working Plant Controller for their Bellefontaine facility. This Controller will ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost accounting and financial reporting in addition to providing financial information and analyses to support critical decision making for business success. Working closely with plant management, this position reports directly to the Corporate Director FP&A and has two direct reports.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and prepare accounting processes, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, financial reporting and analysis functions, including month-end close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
• Oversee and investigate plant inventory accounting to ensure controls and procedures, making recommendations resolve issues
• Adhere to internal controls, policies and procedures for Plant Manufacturing Operations ensuring all activities are compliant with accounting rules and SOX
• Work with cross functional teams to prepare annual plant operating budget, monthly forecasts and special projects
• Support the Plant Management Team to assure achievement of plant objectives, including analyzing data to initiate improvements and cost savings
• Analyze and interpret cost data and variance reports comparing actual plant performance with standard costs and providing explanations for discrepancies

Requirements:

• BS or BA Accounting or Finance required
• 5+ years in manufacturing, automotive highly preferred
• Strong technical skills in reconciliations, cost accounting and month-end closing
• Proficient in management reporting practices, accounting rules and SOX
• SAP highly preferred
• Expert skills in MS Excel
• Power BI is a plus
• Ability to problem solve, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
