Manufacturing Manager

We are currently assisting our client, with a Manufacturing Manager search located near Columbus, OH. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager will oversee operations and lead by example on the floor and proactively drive continuous improvement within a small manufacturing facility. They should demonstrate leadership through their actions on the floor and actively promote ongoing enhancements within a high-mix / low-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all production related activities throughout the facility in all production departments
• Promote a safe work environment by actively engaging in safety improvement projects
• Provide leadership on major issues facing the organization, working collectively with support managers, and understanding all aspects of the business
• Proactively lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Interact with internal cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives; including but not limited to: engineering, quality, maintenance, production control, HR, finance and safety
• Achieve cost, quality, delivery, and safety goals, and identify continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies
• Support deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress, identify root causes of processes, production capacity, quality and staffing issues and develop/implement corrective action plans
• Responsible for the accomplishment of product line’s operations goals and initiatives within their area

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a metal manufacturing environment
• Hands on knowledge of manufacturing processes
