Position Summary

The intern is responsible for performing duties related to reviewing, assessing, updating and improving system documentation in the Dayton Facility production areas.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering & Operations to create new Machining Instructions
- Review and validate current Machining Instructions and make updates as required
- Support 3D printing initiatives
- Collaborate with Quality to ensure Machining Instruction inspection requirements are aligned with other system documentation
- Assist with data gathering to support capabilities analysis of part key characteristics
- Support departmental and plant continuous improvement activities and assigned projects
- All other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Required
- Ability to manage multiple, fluid priorities and proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
- Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
- Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in technical curriculum
- Experience in Engineering Manufacturing
- Working knowledge of GD&T and metrology
