Manufacturing Engineer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing engineering support to Operations/Manufacturing departments. Lead projects focused on process improvements (improving yields, reducing costs and improving efficiency). Works with Product Development to implement new product/process development activities. Process fixture and tooling development, verification/validation protocols and reports. Works with manufacturing and quality personnel to help resolve supplier quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Technical and project lead for process improvements of existing processes.
• Completing various process development activities required for rapid commercialization of minimally invasive neuro-surgery systems.
• Develop tooling, tool drawings, tool files and perform tool qualifications.
• Develop test methods and test fixtures.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing and quality inspection processes and procedures.
• Support Manufacturing and Quality Assurance as needed

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to make progress on multiple project- and execution-level tasks in parallel.
• Excellent communication (written and oral), presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Able to demonstrate problem solving skill through analytical reasoning and creative solutions.
• Knowledge and experience with (preferred):
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
• Solid Modeling/Design (Solid Works)
