Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and improving the “machine that builds that machine”. The influence you will have on products and how customers interact with them is immense and will require the thorough and thoughtful design of a creative individual. It is a requirement that you actively collaborate as a part of a fast-paced multidisciplinary team with expertise, passion, and respect always.
You will be joining a startup minded team at the ground level with incredible future potential. This is NOT your typical manufacturing engineering role, it’s a multifaceted role that requires excellence in solving complex technical challenges, an eagerness for learning new things, and ultimately an attitude towards delivering world class products that our customers love. As a part of the product team, you will work on the border of risk, proactively communicating with the assembly team and customers to quickly establish a design direction, test prototypes, and scale manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Design or find the right tools of all shapes and sizes to optimize the manufacturing process and allow for effective of scaling of products
• Work with the assembly floor and the design team to provide design feedback that optimizes assembly time, performance, and value
• Develop work instructions and train the assembly floor on best practices and procedures to build and ship our products.
Essential Requirements:
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with a portfolio demonstrating excellence and elegance
• Experience with and a passion for electro/mechanical mechanisms of all types
• Working knowledge of cost-effective and alternative machining and fabrication processes
• Excellent personal / interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and set personal priorities
• Ability to occasionally visit vendors, customers, or other stakeholders critical to product feedback and design improvement Working Conditions
• Extensive use of computer workstations
• Frequently in a manufacturing environment oniste or customer facilities
• Exposure to partially assembled or prototype equipment
• Occasional use of tools for creating, testing, and assembling electro-mechanical components
